Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion for Skin Care

If you are a “night-owl”, like me, you may well have seen the infomercials for it on TV already (tut, tut. Those late nights aren’t good for your skin!). The NuBrilliance ™ Microdermabrasion Skin System now makes it possible to do Microdermabrasion at home. What’s more it seems to be showing itself as an extremely popular choice with women, and men, who want to achieve glowing, healthy skin, all across the country.

I must admit, infomercials are a guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, I know they’re kinda cheesy, and even though you can’t always trust 100% what they actually say to be true, I still find them a lot of fun, and sometimes, just sometimes, they promote top quality, useful, products. You just got to figure out which ones!

What is the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion Skin System?

Sephora, the company who has given us the Nu Brilliance ™ Microdermabrasion Skin System, is the choice of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian (who has her own make-up and fragrance line with Saphora), and beauty innovators such as Anastasia Soare.

Saphora claim the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion Skin System will give you the same results, at home, as you would get at a clinic, or a salon, but for a fraction of the price. If If that’s true you certainly could expect to save yourself a bundle, as the cost of Microdermabrasion can cost from anything between $100 – $600 depending on where you live. Well that sounds great, but does it sound a little too good to be true? Does all the hype live up to expectations? Let’s find out if you can pick up the Nu Brilliance ™ today and start looking younger.

A closer look at what makes the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion skin System different.

The Nu Brilliance ™ is a dual-action Microdermabrasion System which combines real diamond peel exfoliation with vacuum stimulation. Apparently, it reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines, even around sensitive areas such as the eyes. It has also been shown to improve skin texture, tone and elasticity, whilst also helping to reduce age spots and acne scars.

According to Sephora, the system has been clinically proven and is approved by Doctors.

…Sounds promising so far.

The fine diamond tip is especially designed for the face and neck areas. It gently and non-abrasively exfoliates your skin, efficiently removing surface cells, which in-turn stimulates, and promotes the regeneration of new smoother, younger-looking skin in its place.

For those of you who wish to use the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion on other, less sensitive areas of the body, you can utilize the regular diamond tip. The regular diamond tip is ideal for areas such as the arms and hands.

Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion Skin System Features and directions

  • Pro tool uses crystal-free diamond exfoliation and suction
  • Powerfully reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Real diamond peel exfoliation and vacuum stimulation

Select which diamond tip you wish to use and assemble the wand. Plug the unit in and choose a suction level from 1 to 5. Place the suction part of the wand flat on the area you wish to treat. Make sure you have a full and complete contact between your skin and the suction tip, otherwise you won’t get the full effect. Don’t be tempted to press the diamond tip too firmly against the face, just use smooth, even strokes. Don’t stroke more than three times over the same area. Depending on whatever feels better for you, you may wish to use long or short strokes. As you stroke the diamond tip across the skin, use your other hand to stretch the face. This will keep your skin taught and give you the full effect of the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion Skin System

“What would you do to look years younger, and have healthier, more beautiful skin?”

What are people saying about the Nu Brilliance ™ Microdermabrasion Skin System

We spent some time scouring the internet, hunting around to see if we could find any “real world” customers who had actually used the Nu Brilliance Microdermabrasion Skin System and what sort of results, if any, they had achieved. We must admit, the feedback is pretty glowing, although it does fall short in one aspect.

People seem to be genuinely delighted with the results they have achieved with their Nu Brilliance systems. The over-whelming majority of feed-back left by customers said the appliance had made a vast improvement to their skins texture, clarity, and overall appearance. Many claim that the results can be seen from the first application.

“I really really love what it does to my skin. I use it 2 to 3 times per week, and my skin is awesome in the mornings, smooth, soft, and beautiful, dark spots have faded… the thing I want others to know, first I’ve heard people say it lost suction. Not true.” – Amazon Customer

The 2 to 3 times a week application, as mentioned in the quote above, seems a little excessive, and we would recommend using a microdermabrasion tool no more than just the once per week. Unless you’ve been specifically instructed to by your dermatologist.

“My age spots are dramatically diminished along with some fine lines. My overall skin tone has improved and appears more youthful (for a 55 year old hen like me).” – K.I. Williams.

“I’ve had microderm at a spa probably five times and loved it. I bought this little machine to try to replicate what I experienced and it is awesome!” – Blizz (Florida)

Obviously, this is only a small selection of the feed-back we found. What seemed prevalent to us was that a lot of people were putting it on par with the professional treatment that you would receive at a spa.

It’s not all plain sailing though, and there are some not-so-happy customers. Most of these complaints are about Sephora’s customer services being rude or the product losing it’s suction after a few months.

“I DO recommend the machine itself but not the Nu Brilliance website to purchase from. I regret not having purchased the machine here on Amazon – a reputable site” – Elizabeth F.

There is much debate about the product possibly losing its suction power. Some claim the suction issue arises when people forget to change the filters regularly, or fail to give the product a good full charge before using it. Either way, the general consensus, even from those who complained, is that the Nu Brilliance is a great Microdermabrasion Skin System and produces amazing results right from the very first time you use it.

Buying it cheap

Having scoured the net, we found that Amazon currently has the cheapest price (even cheaper than the official website), at the time of writing this review, they have a 12% off offer. It was also listed as only having 7 left in stock, and we’re not sure how often Amazon re-stock these sort of things.

The other good thing about ordering from Amazon, besides for it being a reputable retailer, is that you won’t have to deal with Sephora’s alleged “rude” customer services.
